A liquid manufacturing machine is a device that produces various types of liquid oral formulations, such as syrups and elixirs. One of the most common liquid manufacturing machines is the liquid oral suspension plant, which has three main components: a sugar melting vessel, a premix vessel, and a main manufacturing vessel. These vessels are fabricated from SS316L grade material and comply with the cGMP standards. The liquid oral suspension plant can also be fully automated with pneumatic valves for aseptic production.


Sugar Melting vessel

The sugar melting vessel is a part of the syrup mixer plant and machinery, which is responsible for melting sugar and other ingredients. The vessel has a jacket for heating and cooling the solution, and a propeller type stirrer for uniform mixing. The temperature can be adjusted by steam, chilled water, or electric heating, depending on the availability of utilities. The solution can be transferred to the vessel by vacuum suction to minimize contamination. Similarly, solid ingredients can also be added to the vessel by vacuum pressure. The sugar melting vessel can also be connected to a sugar discharging bin and an additive hopper for introducing solid ingredients. After obtaining the desired composition, the solution is filtered through a basket filter and transferred to the main manufacturing vessel.


Premix vessel

The premix vessel is another part of the liquid oral suspension plant, which is used for mixing the ingredients before adding sugar or glucose. This pre-mixing process increases the efficiency of mixing. The vessel has a jacket for heating and cooling the solution, and a propeller type stirrer for uniform mixing. The temperature can be controlled by steam, chilled water, or electric heating, depending on the availability of utilities. The solution can be transferred to the vessel by vacuum suction to minimize contamination. Similarly, solid ingredients can also be added to the vessel by vacuum pressure. After obtaining the desired composition, the solution is transferred to the main manufacturing vessel.


Main Manufacturing vessel

The main manufacturing vessel is the final part of the liquid oral suspension plant, where the main mixing of the solutions from the sugar melting vessel and the premix vessel takes place. The vessel has a jacket for heating and cooling the solution, and a bottom mounted propeller type stirrer for uniform mixing and reducing lump formation. The vessel also has an inline homogenizer for grinding the mixture to a uniform composition. The homogenizer can reduce the particle size to less than 5 microns. After attaining the desired composition and viscosity, the solution is filtered through a zero-holdup filter press and transferred to a storage vessel through a flush bottom diaphragm valve to minimize product holdup. The solution is then ready to be dispatched to the filling line.
